Donations to Charity
All unclaimed cell phones, electronics, and lost & found items will be donated to charity on June 21st. Parents, please retrieve cell phones and electronics from administrators.
Young Authors Anthology Family Night
We are so proud of our young authors and poets who will read from their published works in the library on Wednesday June 9 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. Families are invited to share the joy as the students receive their personal bound anthology! Please bring your favorite dessert to share!

Mark Twain's 1st Annual Arts Festival "Celebrating CommUnity"
On Saturday June 12th, the arts academy will host a family fun day featuring performances by dance and music students, visual art exhibits, guest artists, academic displays and presentations, an antique car show, games and activities and plenty of food. Come one, come all, and celebrate our community!
Family Book Fair Night
Bring your family to the library on Thursday May 27th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm for books, food, and fun! Super Mom Toni will treat you to dinner and present recommended books available for purchase. Super Library Media Teacher Mr. W will challenge your intellectual abilities with "Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?" and prizes will be raffled -- last year was an I-Pod! Please bring your favorite dessert to share!
Tours for Prospective Parents and Students
Prospective parents are invited to tour the campus on Wednesday May 19th, Tuesday May 25th, and Thursday May 27th all from 8:30 am to 9:30 am, in addition to Wednesday May 26th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Students from our feeder elementary schools will be touring the campus on Wednesday May 26th from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm. We hope to see you here!
We are now accepting open enrollment for 2010-2011
The application period for open enrollment transfers begins May 3rd and ends June 1st. Please stop by the attendance office between the hours of 10:30 am - 12:30 pm and 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm for information or forms. Click for more information and forms.
Nutrition, Health & Safety Fair
The Nutrition, Health & Safety Fair will be held on Thursday May 27th from 1:00 to 3:00 pm in the quad. Students will receive their passports and visit the many interactive displays generously provided by local farmers and businesses. Evy Arenas, Parent Representative, is seeking parent volunteers to assist with booth set up and food preparation and can be contacted in the Parent Center, Room 253.
Winter wheat harvest
Students from Mr Koonce's class have finished the harvest and bundled the wheat. So far the crop has yielded one pound of whole wheat flour. The students will finish processing the crop after the CST's. Hopefully we will get a pound or more af additional whole wheat flour. Next goal...whole wheat bread.
Eco-LogicalART's ReVision/10 and Earth to Celebrate EartH Day
Ms. Alonzo's art students worked on paintings for the show and were presented in an installation themed "The World I See/The World I Hope Could Be" on April 24th. We are all proud of her students, especially Clarissa Marentes and Ana Munoz, who received awards in their age category. Congratulations! Click for more pictures.
